Check off your plans for School Sports Week, with Tennisables, from our partners at the Lawn Tennis Association. You’ll not only enhance your pupils’ physical fitness but also foster teamwork, resilience, and a love for the game. Tennis is a sport that promotes physical literacy, focus, and healthy competition, and Tennisables really is bringing the fun to kids tennis.
With tennis season in full swing, what better time to ready the racquets and hit a winner with your pupils.
You’ve met the Tennisables – the LTA’s tennis ball-based characters created to help children feel inspired to have a go at tennis – and most importantly, have fun! Now, take a look at the six short videos, each containing a challenge delivered with the help of the Tennisables. These are ideal for you to deliver to pupils in your school during School Sports Week.
Are your pupils taking on the Tennisables challenges during School Sports Week? We have a prize for the schools who share the best snaps of their Tennisables sessions with us. It’s super simple – just tweet us (@PremEducationUK) and the LTA (@the_LTA) and use #LTATennisables, from your school account with a photo or video of your pupils taking on the Brainbuster Rally, Trap & Tap challenge or any other Tennisables activity.
The best entries will win 100 extra Tennisable balls for their school.
Every tennis enrichment session is designed to engage and inspire children of all abilities. Whether your pupils are picking up a racquet for the first time, or can string together a few shots, our experienced coaches tailor all activities to suit their skill levels and create an enjoyable learning environment. We’ll cover all the fundamentals of tennis, and build confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship along the way.
Our flexible enrichment activities are designed to meet the needs of your school, so whether you’re looking for a full morning of activity for Year 6 pupils, or a full day to give several classes a tennis taster, then we can help.
